Town Pec pod Snezkou

Pec pod Sněžkou belongs today among the biggest and the most famous ski resorts in Krkonoše. There are only 580 permanent citizens, however, the accommodation capacity is 8 500 beds. The tourism is the most important trade and employs most of the citizens. The highest Czech mountain Sněžka (1602 m = 5261 ft) is the most sought after location in summer. To get there, you can either ride with the chair lift or, if you are more sporty, you can conquer the peak on foot.
